Something people don’t seem to know or understand US corporations have a fiduciary responsibility to maximize profits for their shareholders.
They have to defend themselves to retain the additional profit realized by not paying taxes and accepting the billions in government subsidies. Again, they are required to function in the best interest of their shareholders. If a company admits fault or owns up to a mistake it’s because the accountants have calculated it’s in their best financial interest long term.
