The Mayor of Abbotsford, B.C., Henry Braun, said on Saturday that conditions continued to be stable in flood zones, with the Barrowtown pump station being fully operational.
However, the city, along with many parts of B.C., is bracing for more rainfall and remains on a high alert level as more storms hit.
Rainfall started Saturday morning and the city expects 120 millimetres of rain by Sunday morning.
The mayor asked residents of all evacuation alert areas to be ready to evacuate with short notice depending on weather conditions.
Braun also discussed his meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier John Horgan, and thanked the provincial and federal governments for their help.
