Egyptian Women’s Premier League winners Wadi Degla were nominated for the CAF Women’s Club of the Year award.
Degla have been dominating Women’s football in Egypt during the last few years, showing dominance in both leagues and cups.
Recently, they were crowned Egyptian Women’s Premier League winners for the 13th time in history, widening the gap as the competition’s record-holders.
They have also clinched the 2022 Egyptian Women’s Cup after beating Maadi Sporting Club & Yacht in the final.
On the continental level, they represented Egypt in the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League.
As a result, Wadi Degla were nominated for the CAF Women’s Club of the Year award, but the competition is tough as they are up against a number of African giants, including Mamelodi Sundowns who won the first-ever Women’s Champions League title a few months ago.
List of nominees:
Wadi Degla (Egypt).
Hasaacas Ladies (Ghana).
Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa).
Association’s Sports of Forces Armed Royal (Morocco).
Malabo Kings (Equatorial Guinea).
River Angels (Nigeria).
AS Mande (Mali).
