Officials from the United States held in-person talks with Taliban leaders for the first time since the chaos following the American military’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.
But the bloody regime change has not stopped deadly violence in the country, as it sees a slew of deadly attacks by rival terrorist group ISIS-K.
The latest attack saw 46 people killed in a suicide bombing at a mosque on Friday, and as Jennifer Johnson explains, the Taliban says it is ruling out any efforts to contain extremism.
