Ontario Premier Doug Ford discussed the construction of the Bradford Bypass on Monday, saying that his government is fully funding the construction of the new four-lane freeway that will connect Highway 400 and Highway 404.
Ford made the announcement in Bradford, Ont. alongside Ontario Transport Minister Caroline Mulroney and Ontario Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy.
“This new bypass will help get people where they need to go much faster, and we also know it will help get goods to the market faster, Ford said, adding that the project would generate 700 jobs per on average year during construction, and that the highway would not be tolled.
Ford’s government released a fall economic statement last week, that included boosting funding for the healthcare sector and building highways and roads.
