The Managing Director, Fordmarx Nigeria Limited, Dr. Clifford Nnaji, says the company is organising training on sustainable water technology for graduate youths in the South-East.
Nnaji explained this in a statement issued in Enugu on Wednesday that the two-week-long event would be organised in collaboration with the company’s foreign partner, Lorentz Germany, and Enugu State Government.
According to him, the training will focus on borehole drilling, water treatment and plant, renewable energy, irrigation, fire fighting and fire hydrant.
Nnaji further stated that the training, which is slated to begin on Nov. 23, was designed for graduate engineers and technologists between the ages of 18 and 35.
He stated: “The participants must possess the minimum qualification of a National Diploma in the field of engineering and other related courses.
“The training will equip them with the requisite skills in their chosen fields.”
He described the training as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility of giving back to society.
Nnaji stated that the participants would be given certificates at the end of the training, “which will enable them to work within the industry”.

The company is currently handling the comprehensive rehabilitation and conversion of 13 industrial boreholes to solar power in the state.
Nnaji stated that the project would help to ensure the availability and sustainability of water reticulation in Enugu metropolis, when completed.
