Maarouf Youssef’s agent Osama Farahat revealed the details of his client’s situation with Zamalek, claiming the club handled the situation poorly.
Despite leaving Zamalek a year ago, Maarouf still has unpaid dues from his time with the White Knights.
The international Nigerian and his former club reportedly reached an agreement for the player to be paid around 4,000,000 Egyptian pounds despite Zamalek having been sentenced to pay around 8,000,000 Egyptian pounds.
However, the player’s agent Osama Farahat claims Zamalek didn’t commit to their deal with them and that he will continue his legal actions for his player’s rights.
“The current board led by Hussein Labib was the worst at dealing with the situation, it was a waste of time, after making a deal, we didn’t receive the money,” Osama said.
“We had a deal that we would receive the money we agree upon by the 15th of this month, Labib called me on the 13th and said they will be paying tomorrow.
“However, on the next day, he called me and asked me to take the situation back to court.
“We will take it back to court, we were sentenced more than 8,000,000 Egyptian pounds and our agreement with the club was much less (3,5 or 4 million).
“Maarouf didn’t want any problems with the club, that’s why we went for an agreement, I am the one that convinced him he should ask for his money.”
