Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott announced on Friday that the province will be keeping it’s COVID-19 proof-of-vaccination program past Jan. 17 and will only accept QR codes as valid proof as of Jan. 4. Print outs of the QR code will also be accepted for those who don’t have access to technology.
Ontario is also expanding its booster shot program for people 18 and over starting Jan. 4.
In addition, chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore said starting Dec. 20, youth aged 12 to 17 will require proof of vaccination to participate in organized sports at recreational facilities.
