Ontario is reporting more than 1,600 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, the highest daily count in nearly seven months. Dozens of those cases are confirmed to be of the new Omicron variant, and officials say they’re investigating other possible cases.
Now, front line staff in hospitals across Canada are once again feeling a sense of dread in light of the highly transmissible variant.
As Brittany Rosen reports, there is fear more workers may walk off the job with cases on the rise.
