U.S. President Joe Biden travelled to Kentucky on Wednesday, where he toured the damage after several deadly tornadoes and severe storms tore through the state last week.
The president said the federal government would cover one hundred per cent of the cost to clean up in the wake of the deadly storms for the first 30 days of recovery.
“You will recover and you will rebuild,” he told residents whose lives were uprooted by the storms.
Biden also said the government would provide mental health supports for those in need.
