The FCT Administration has asked the Chinese contractors handling the AYA-Kugbo-Nyanya road project to create a synergy with relevant traffic management agencies towards preventing unnecessary traffic gridlock.
The Senior Special Assistant on Monitoring, Inspection, and Enforcement to FCT Minister, Ikharo Attah stated this when he led heads of traffic management agencies to the construction site on Friday.
The visit followed the Thursday nightmarish traffic experience commuters and residents went through on that road as a result of an emergency diversion created by contractors without proper communication.
Attah noted that early communication would enable the relevant agencies to massively deplore human resources that will ensure a seamless traffic flow, especially when there is any accidental or construction emergencies.
This according to him will ease the flow of traffic and ensure that commuters move freely without unnecessary delay.
He went further to commend the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Nyanya unit Commander, Sabena Musa, and her men, for the sacrifices they made in controlling the terrifying traffic gridlock.
