Ahead of Sudan game, Egypt national team midfielder Amr El-Sulya declared the players’ wish to win the Africa Cup of Nations.
After a disappointing opening game defeat against Nigeria, The Pharaohs bounced back to emerge victorious against Guinea-Bissau 1-0.
Egypt now needs one point to go through to the Round of 16, while Sudan will aim to win in order to find themselves a place in the knock-out stages as well.
While the last game’s result was positive, many fans and football pundits have criticized the national team’s performance, claiming that there is massive room for improvement.
Despite the heavy criticism toward the national team manager and players, they appear to be in a good state of mind.
