Egypt international Sam Morsy has scored the winner for Ipswich Town in their narrow victory against Plymouth Argyle in the EFL League One.
Morsy has been an integral part of Ipswich Town’s midfield since making the move from Middlesborough in the summer transfer window last year.
His influential performances have earned him the skipper’s armband for the third time in his career after he had captained Wigan Athletic and Chesterfield.
The 30-year-old managed to put on another superb performance on Saturday against Plymouth after scoring his side’s only goal in his 28th appearance.

Ipswich had a strong start to the game and came close to scoring inside the opening four minutes when Nigeria international Sone Aluko struck the ball with venom from close range but only found the side netting.
Aluko was on the scene again minutes later as he provided a through ball to Wes Burns, whose driven ball went across the face of the goal and failed to find a teammate.
The home side’s first-half dominance was rewarded in the 37th minute when James Norwood held off two defenders on the byline and delivered a low cross to Sam Morsy, who tapped home his side’s opening goal and his second of the season.

The second half saw Ipswich create little chances, but they nearly doubled their lead towards the end of the game as Wes Burns’ shot glanced the far post and went wide.
Following their victory, Ipswich remain ninth in the League One standings with 64 points after 40 games played, five ahead of Portsmouth, who have two games in hand.
Ipswich host 16th-placed Cambridge United in their upcoming League One game on Saturday, April 2nd as kick-off takes place at 16:00 CLT.
