Egypt national team manager, Carlos Queiroz, is confident in his team ahead of their game against Senegal in the 2022 World Cup qualifers.
After beating them 1-0 in the first leg, Egypt will now visit Senegal to play the second game of the playoff round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The game is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 29 March in Dakar at 7pm Cairo local time.
The Pharaohs will, unfortunately, need to cope without their starting centre backs Mohamed Abdelmonem and Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh.

Queiroz confirmed that there no more injuries within the squad and that they are fully-prepared for the clash
“All the players are ready to face Senegal and we have no injuries,” Queiroz said in the pre-match press conference.
“I think we are working hard and everything depends on the commitment of our team. All the players are training seriously and collectively, but we need patience.
“We have a team of humble players, with tremendous discipline and hard work, if we focus tomorrow in this regard I’m confident that we will play a special match.
“My philosophy is that we never play against Senegal, Cameroon, Nigeria or Côte d’Ivoire, but we always play against ourselves, every game we play is against Egypt.
“If we play well in the last match, we must play better in this match. This is my philosophy,” he added.
The Portuguese coach then answered to claims that they struggle to control possession against stronger sides.
“I’ve never seen a team playing alone and possessing 100% of the ball, so in the last game we had 45% possession, and in the Africa Cup of Nations final we had 51%,” he continued.
“If you give me 5% of the possession I can do magic, we know that and Senegal knows that too.
“We respect Senegal, they’re a great team and has a great coach, but as I said tomorrow they will not be able to possess 100% of the ball.

“We know and Senegal knows that when we have the ball we have talented players in Egypt who are able to create magic.
“We don’t win matches using magic words, but we achieve results with the efforts of the players.
“The most important thing for the Egyptian and Senegalese fans is that two great teams and great players will compete on the field. I hope that football wins the match.
“It’s unfortunate that the two best teams in Africa for the past three months had to play against each other. If I were the one who set the rules, I would have qualified the two best teams of the AFCON directly to the World Cup.
“But these are the regulations, and unfortunately, tomorrow only the best team will be able to qualify, and with all due respect to Senegal, I hope that Egypt will be the best team qualify. This is my wish and I hope you don’t mind that,” he concluded.
