Since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, Western leaders have been quick to condemn Russia’s invasion.
But some have stayed neutral or muted, with some even blaming the West for what’s happening. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reportedly working to court some of those countries as he looks to speak to members of the African Union in the coming days. More than half of them voted either against or abstained the UN vote to suspend Russia from its Human Rights Council.
