As of April 29, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 11,508,814 while over 283,241,683 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 252,855 and 9,664,417 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of 3,780,444 and 100,355 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 1,164,865 ) , Tunisia ( 1,040,193 ), Egypt ( 515,645 ), Libya ( 501,904 ), Ethiopia ( 470,515 ), and Kenya ( 323,745 ).
