Egypt’s handball team opponents in the 2022 African Men’s Handball Championship have been revealed on Thursday.
The Pharaohs had earned a fourth-place finish in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics back in August of last year after losing to Spain.
They will look to make amends in the 2022 African Men’s Handball Championship, set to kick off on July 9th, and will be hosted by Egypt.
Ahead of the African Championship, the draw revealed that Egypt were drawn in Group A of the competition alongside Cameroon and Morocco.
The opening game of the tournament will be between current title holders Egypt and Cameroon at the Hassan Mostafa Hall.
Full draw:
Group A: Egypt, Cameroon, and Morocco.
Group B: Algeria, Gabon, Guinea, and Kenya.
Group C: Tunisia, Cape Verde, and Nigeria.
Group D: Angola, Senegal, Zambia, and DR Congo.
